Tom was older than me but my sister Nancy was good friends with him. They attended high school together and she would share heartwarming stories about Tom. My condolences to his wife and children. May he RIP.

Met Tom at BCC in 1963. Many fond memories of Tom. He welcomed me into Bill’s Boys a small grocery at the corner of LeRoy and Murray Sts. on Binghamton’s West Side in the mid 60’s where he and other Irish Catholics used to hang out.

I had the privilege of working with Tom Heslin during our careers at Bensalem High School. Tom was an outstanding counselor and a determined advocate for our tech students. He was understanding but firm. He would often use the term "Dutch uncle" when delivering frank advice with a no nonsense yet caring approach. He was a good conversationalist, a wonderful colleague and friend. His inspiration will be with me forever.
