Russell, John John Joseph Colman Russell, 43, son of Mary Margaret and Paul J. Russell, died suddenly April 15, 2012. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Genevieve and Andrew Nailen; and his paternal grandparents, Marcella and Paul E. Russell. He is survived by his parents; his sister, Jennifer Russell; and his brother, Andrew Russell; his aunts and uncles, John and Sandra Nailen, Joanne and Peter Perrault, Andrea (Godmother) and Paul Barnes, Joyce and Thomas Shannon, Robert Russell (Godfather), Deborah Paugh, Kathy and Victor Shatara, and John Russell. He had numerous cousins whom he loved dearly. John loved football, the New York Yankees, and all things Irish. He was a loyal friend, especially to Barry Evan, Jay Henderson, and Rob Stead. John had a strong work ethic. He worked in food service and sales, currently at Casa Imports. As a young man, John worked at the Number 5 Restaurant where he used his gift of friendly conversation to establish lasting relationships. He broke many hearts the day he died; may he rest in peace. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Saturday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of John may be made to Church of Saints John and Andrew, 7 Livingston St., Binghamton, NY 13903 or Make A Wish Foundation, 4742 N. 24th St., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016-4862.
