Mary Graham Johnston (1929 - 2012) | Visit Guest Book Johnston, Mary Graham Binghamton: Mary Graham Johnston bravely passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at the James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing Home. She was born June 27, 1929 to Edith and Stanley Graham in Oswego NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Wesley U. Johnston and her son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Grambling. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Binghamton, The Junior League of Binghamton and The Monday Afternoon Club. She was a volunteer in the Binghamton Community for over 50 years. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1949 and was member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is survived by her daughter, Gail and husband, Richard, two grandchildren, Lara and Tyler Grambling; her cousin, Ann and several nieces and a nephew. She was loved by many friends over the years, including Nancy, Muriel, Alice, Ron and Genna and Elena. Thanks to all the staff at James Johnston Memorial Nursing Home and at Hilltop assisted living. Thanks to Pam and Marge for the support over the past few years. Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 42 Chenango Street, Binghamton, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12 noon. Burial will be Union Rural Village Cemetery, Oswego. The family will receive friends in the Library Lounge of First Presbyterian Church, Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to the American Cancer Society , 13 Beech Street, Johnson City, NY 13790 or the Alzheimer's Association , 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, NY.
