Obituary of Daniel L Doyle

Daniel L. Doyle | Visit Guest Book Doyle, Daniel L. Binghamton: Daniel Leo Doyle, 67, of Binghamton, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at home with his family by his side. He was born October 26, 1944 in Binghamton, NY. Dan is predeceased by his parents, Daniel Donnelly and James and Margaret Doyle; his sister, Ann Marie; and mother-in-law, Patricia Hallett. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Jo Doyle; and his children, Kelly Doyle, Melbourne, FL, Daniel Doyle, San Diego, CA, Elizabeth Crandall and Jon Hull, Baldwinsville, Billie Jo and Sean Merritt, Brewerton, Joshua Thomas and his fiance Shannon, Apalachin, Todd and Heidi Crandall; his grandchildren, Jessica Doyle, Harrison and Zak Crandall, Kaylee and Jacob Merritt and Zoey Thomas, whom he loved and adored; his brother, James and Rachael Doyle, Syracuse; his in-laws, Don and Mary Hallett; two very special friends, Marty Reagan and Beth Slocum; his aunt, Sister Marilyn Donnelly, C.S.J., Latham. Dan graduated from St. Patrick's Academy, Class of 1962, and from Fordham School of Pharmacy in New York City in 1966. Daniel loved being a Pharmacist and thrived off learning new things! He worked diligently as a pharmacist in Colorado and then in New York at the UMA Medical Building and Rite Aide until 2009 when he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Dan's family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Readling and the staff at Broome Oncology along with the people from Lourdes Hospice for the warmth and care Dan received during his illness. Dan also enjoyed motorcycles and Corvettes. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 1 p.m. Reverend John P. Putano, Pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Valley Cemetery, Willseyville. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Dan may be made to Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
