Gwyn, Barbara "Betty" Binghamton: Barbara "Betty" Gwyn of Binghamton and Boca Raton, FL went peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Bridgewater Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Scranton, PA, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Lynott Ford. She is predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Gwyn and by six sisters; three brothers; a niece and several nephews. Mrs. Gwyn leaves behind her devoted family, her daughter, Joyce G. Gray and her husband, Douglas; her grandson, Christian Gray and his wife, Danielle; her granddaughter, Hollee Geiser and her husband, Andrew. Her precious great grandchildren - the loves of her life, Carter and Quincy Gray and Emma Geiser, who affectionately called her GG. Also, several caring nephews and nieces. Mrs. Gwyn was a woman of her generation and devoted her bountiful energies firs and foremost to creating a warm and happy home for her husband and daughter. She cherished above all her role as a homemaker. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Binghamton and the Women's Society. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. A heartfelt thank you to the angels who loved her as though she was their own, Gail, Helen, Tammy, Robin. Ang, Brittany, Michele, Kirsten, Sandy, Amanda, Kristen and her very special angel, Trina on 2A. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Arthur Streets, Binghamton Thursday at 11 a.m. Reverend Stephen Heiss, her pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park next to her husband , John. "Together Forever" The family will receive friends at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Betty may be made to Children's Home Wyoming Conference, 1182 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, NY.
