Coughlin, Julia V. Endwell: Julia V. Coughlin of Endwell died Sunday evening, January 8, 2012 at Good Shepherd Village. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph D. Coughlin, in 2004; and her sisters, Helen Christopher, Irene Daniels and Athena Varytopoulos. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Dino and Rita Christopher, Johnson City, and their children's families: the Boevs, Fairport, the Farrells, Binghamton, and the Christophers, Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by her niece, Irene Malagari, Collegeville, PA, and her children's families: the Clarks, Berwyn, PA, the Storaces, Collegeville, PA, and the Malagaris, Landsdale, PA; along with her trusted friend and personal assistant, Mildred Lentine, Binghamton. In addition, she is survived by her nephews, Peter A. Daniels and his family, Binghamton, and John Daniels and his wife, Glenview, IL; and many relatives of both Greek and Irish descent. She was born and raised in Greece and later immigrated to the United States to join other members of her immediate family. It was in Binghamton that she met the love of her life, Joseph Coughlin. Julia's marriage was a true love story. Together she and Joe were able to travel around the world, especially enjoying their visits to Greece and Ireland. She was an impeccable housekeeper, an outstanding cook and hostess as well as companion, friend and caregiver for her father-in-law, Patrick Coughlin. Julia was a member of the Binghamton Country Club, where she enjoyed golfing and playing bridge, and was also a member of the Monday Afternoon Club and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Vestal. Funeral Services will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 4121 O'Hare Drive, Vestal on Saturday at 11 a.m. Reverend Father Michael Bahlazis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Trisagion Service will be held Friday at 7:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Julia may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 4121 O'Hare Drive, Vestal, NY 13850.
