Obituary of Helen L. Hammer

Helen L. Hammer | Visit Guest Book Hammer, Helen L. Binghamton: Helen L. Hammer, 92, of Binghamton, died Sunday morning, December 4, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Anton F. Hammer. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Margaret Hammer, Columbia, MD; her grandchildren, Tracy and William Bauer, Jennifer Hammer; two great-grandchildren, Anna Bower, Benjamin Bower; four sisters, Margaret Mocho, Elizabeth Goldsmith, Irene Lyons, Pauline Butchko; a brother, Nicholas Lesso; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton. Helen was a retired 20-year employee of the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Helen may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, NY 13905.
