Obituary of Michael J. McGuire

McGuire, Michael J. Binghamton: Michael J. McGuire, 63, of Binghamton, formerly of New York City, died Sunday, August 14, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Helen McGuire. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary McGuire, Binghamton; his sons, Daniel and Kim Sheehan, Michael James McGuire, William Welch; his grandchildren, Summer and Faith Sheehan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dianne and Tom Torto, Thomas and Jane Waterman, Teresa and Daniel Ronelli, Lulu Waterman; several nieces and nephews. Michael was a veteran of the US Navy, the US Coast Guard, retiring as Chief Bosum Mate and the US Army Corps of Engineers (Ret). Mike enjoyed fishing, was a firearms enthusiast and instructor and was a stamp collector. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Thursday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Michael may be made to Lourdes Hospice Program, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, NY 13850.
