Obituary of Ruth M. Allen

Ruth M. Allen, 69, of Binghamton, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 2004, at Binghamton General Hospital after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary E. Allen; and a brother, James J. Allen. She is survived by her brothers, Richard G. Allen and Paul S. Allen, both of Binghamton; a sister-in-law, Doreen E. Allen, Binghamton; four nieces, Lynn and Dale Gurney, Vestal, Deborah and Peter Larson, Nancy and James Clark, all of Binghamton, Vicki and Steve Ward, Whitehall, Pa.; several great-nieces and nephews. Ruth was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, member of the Altar-Rosary Society and sang in the choir. She sang with the First Ward Senior Citizens, was a member of the Binghamton Garden Club and American Legion Post 1645 Auxiliary. She retired from Security Mutual Life Insurance Company. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
