Obituary of Ruth D. Ziska

Ziska, Ruth Eileen DeLucia Binghamton: Ruth Eileen DeLucia Ziska, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Born May 21, 1926 in Schenectady, NY to Stanley and Margaret (Corr) DeLucia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Margaret (Corr) DeLucia; husband, Edward M. Ziska Sr. of 65 years; sisters, Bertha Fuss, Alice Keller, Dorothy Baxter, Virginia Monserrate and brother, Lawrence DeLucia. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Suzanne Ziska; son, Edward M. Ziska Jr. and daughter, Robyn Ziska; grandchildren, Ruedi Abersold, Torrance Ziska and Kirsten Aebersold; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton. Ruth graduated from Binghamton Central High and attended Syracuse University where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. An avid golfer, tennis player, bridge player and she loved to travel. She was a former member of the Endwell Garden Club, The Ideal Hospital Auxiliary and the Monday Afternoon Club. A Funeral Mass was offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton on Friday. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. There will be a Memorial Mass in the spring. Arrangements are by the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton.
