Obituary of Lisa J. Lynch

Lisa Phillips Lynch, 35, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday morning, October 15, 2003, after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Phillips, in 1987. Lisa is survived by her mother, Mildred Phillips, Johnson City; her grandparents, George and Irene Phillips, Johnson City; her aunts and uncles, John and Helen Sprague, Vestal, Dorothy Middleton, Westfield, Mass., William and Joan McGurgan, Newton, N.J., Joyce McMyne, Binghamton, Ronald Phillips, Johnson City; a great-aunt, Barbara Holly, Pa.; special relatives, Jim and Kay Lynch and family, Binghamton; and several nieces and nephews, and her feline companions, "Sampson and O'Mally". Lisa was a graduate of Johnson City High School and Broome Community College School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for Dr. Darish Vaziri for 12 years along with special co-workers, Angie Siebert and Kathy Seliga-Snyder. Lisa's family will be eternally grateful for the comfort provided by friends staying with her at hospitals in Binghamton and Syracuse. These friends include but not limited to, Joan Coughlin, Linda Eggleston, Cyndi French, Stephanie Kallfelz, Kay Lynch and Michelle Parsons. Funeral and Interment services will be held at the Tower of Memories at Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Pastoral Care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be given to the Broome County Animal Care Council, PO Box 456, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
