Obituary of Helen A. Boland

Helen Abrams Boland, 85, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., died peacefully at home on Friday afternoon, October 3, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Boland; three brothers, Theodore, Robert and Edward Abrams; and two sisters, Alice Abrams and Tyne Crane. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Boland, Binghamton, Gary and Patricia Boland, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; granddaughter, Katie and Kyle Port, Elizabethtown, Pa.; a sister, Marjorie Harness; and a brother, Norm Abrams, both of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. She was a retired employee of the G.A.F. Corporation. Helen was a doting mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a guiding light and stronghold for all who knew her. Helen's loving and compassionate ways will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 10 a.m. Rev. Russell E. Smith Jr., Pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all expressions of sympathy be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85014-5656.
