William
Smolinsky, 91, of Binghamton, died Monday afternoon, June 2, 2003 at Our Lady
of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters,
his wife of 70 years, Regina Smolinsky; his son, William Smolinsky Jr.; and his
son-in-law, Edward Michalek Jr. He is survived by his children, Mary Ann
Michalek, Binghamton; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Smolinsky, Endicott, Robert and
Diane Smolinsky, Johnson City, David and Susan Smolinsky, Douglassville, Pa.,
Mark and Diane Smolinsky, Endicott; his grandchildren, Michelle Michalek,
Edward and Kelly Michalek III, William and Chris Smolinsky, Michael Smolinsky,
Regina and John Mars, Robert Smolinsky II, Paul Smolinsky, Rachel, Stephanie
and Scott Smolinsky, Eric and Daniel Smolinsky; two great-grandsons, William
Smolinsky IV, and John Francis Smolinsky; three sisters-in-law, Mary Stevens,
Maine, Bobbie Iannon Stolarcyk, Margaret Stolarcyk, Binghamton; and several
nieces and nephews. He was a lifelong member of SS. Cyril & Methodius
Church, Binghamton, and was a retired employee of the Endicott-Johnson Corp. He
enjoyed fixing and repairing just about anything.
Funeral services will be held at
the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9
a.m., and at 9:30 a.m. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church where a Funeral Mass
will be offered. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will
receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of William may be made to St. Cyril's Church
Building Fund, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
