Obituary of Katherine A. Clobridge

Katherine A. Clobridge, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly at home
on Monday, April 7, 2003. Mrs. Clobridge was born in Sydney, N.Y. and lived in
Norwich, N.Y. the early part of her life with her parents, John V. and Monica
McNulty; and her sister, Elizabeth (McNulty) Rose. Mrs. Clobridge attended the
Knox School for Girls, Stevens College and was a graduate of Cornell
University. She was predeceased by her parents, John V. McNulty and Monica
(Doyle) McNulty; and her paternal aunts, Helen Phalen, Margaret McNulty, Marie
McNulty and Winifred McNulty; her uncle, Paul McNulty; and her stepson, Kurt D.
Clobridge. Kate was the beloved wife of Binghamton attorney, Robert R.
Clobridge. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister and
brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Jeff Rose, Zanesville, Ohio; her stepson, Robert
C. Clobridge and his wife Kathy, S. Hyannis, Mass.; her step daughter-in-law,
Anne Clobridge and two step grandchildren, whom she adored, Darby and Abby
Clobridge, to whom she was "Grandma Kate", West Sand Lake, N.Y. Kate
was a talented interior decorator and until a disabling injury in 1993, was
employed as a Sales Representative for a number of leading companies, being
honored by many awards for outstanding sales performance. Kate's generosity,
compassion for those less fortunate, love of her animals and life will be
sorely missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Funeral services will be held at
the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 10
a.m. Rev. Msgr. Lawrence E. Giblin will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's
Cemetery, Norwich, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the McCormack
Funeral Home, Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of
Kate may be made to Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Rd., Darien,
Ill. 60559.
