Obituary of Margaret E. Kaminski

Margaret E. McNamara Kaminski, 86, of Good Shepherd-Fairview Home,
passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was
born September 21, 1914, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Dillon, and was
predeceased by an infant son, Francis; and her husbands, Joseph F. McNamara and
Theodore L. Kaminski. She is survived by her children, Ellen and Ronald Smith,
Endicott, Ann and David Pooley, Binghamton; six grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Coughlin, and a brother, John Dillon,
both of Binghamton; several nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Eleanor,
Mary Jane and Agnes Short, Binghamton. She was a member of St. Mary of the
Assumption Church, Binghamton, graduate of St. Patrick's Academy, and earned a
certificate of nursing from St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, and worked as a
registered nurse at Lourdes Hospital. Margaret was active into her early 80's
at the Nutrition Center at 45 Exchange St., Binghamton, and RSVP. Her friendly
smile and helpful offers of kindness will always be remembered. A Funeral Mass
will be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive
friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton,
Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Margaret may be
made to the American Lung Association, 587 Main St., Suite 109, N.Y. Mills,
N.Y. 13417, or The Living Care Fund at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home, 80 Fairview
Ave., Binghamton, N.Y. 13904, or the charity of your choice.
