Obituary of Ernest C. Paradis

Ernest C. Paradis, 71, of Castle Creek, died Monday, April 26, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jayne Sherman, the mother of his children, Vicki and Ron Nemcek, Endwell, Tami and Dave Brown, Johnson City; two grandchildren, "his boys," Ryan and Brent. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Lea Paradis; and is survived by her children, Don, Terry, Karen and their families; three brothers, Phillip Paradis, Charles "Chick" Paradis, his best friend and buddy, William Paradis; a sister, Florence Macomber; the new light of his life, his fiancee, Jo Foster. He was employed formerly at Azon, General Electric, and retired from Sears & Roebuck. He was currently General Manager of Budget Fence of America. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War; member of American Legion Post 1645; Moose Lodge #1013; life member of V.F.W. Post 1449, Endicott. He will be sadly missed by his eating companions, Lexi, Cali, Suzie, and Muffin. Our dad was the best! A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary's Church, Rt. 11, Kirkwood, Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the J.A.McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main, Binghamton, Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
