Obituary of James E. Higgins

Higgins, James E. Binghamton: James E. Higgins, 86, of Binghamton, died peacefully Friday January 25, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jeanne Higgins; his children, James A. Higgins, David M. Higgins, Paul and Brenda Higgins, Norbert A. Higgins, Andrea Higgins, Isabel Higgins; three granddaughters, Gabrielle, Chloe and Audrey Higgins. James was a devout Roman Catholic. He was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from N.Y.U. Law School and was a New York State Mental Health attorney for many years. He was an avid catch and release fly fisherman and was very kind to animals. Private Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton on Monday. Reverend Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
