Vlasak Reistetter, 77, of Binghamton, died Monday evening, September 10, 2001
at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew
Charles Reistetter, Sr., in 1993; her parents, Joseph and Julia Vlasak and her
brothers, Joseph, Louis, Stephen, Rudolph and Ferdinand (Fred). She is survived
by her children, Lawrence Reistetter, Binghamton, David and Jan Reistetter, San
Diego, Calif., Christene and Bill Von Matt, Rome, Joanne and Bob Ehrlich,
Lynbrook, Mary and Doug Ehret, Dallas, Pa., Andy and Mary Reistetter, Jr., Chicago,
Ill.; 15 grandchildren, David, Jeannine, Tamara, Robert, Matthew, Christine,
Julie, Joe, Tim, Steven, Megan, Kyle, Corey, Christopher, Brenden; a sister,
Olga Riggins; several nieces and nephews. During the past several years, she
enjoyed the companionship of her gentleman friend, Walter Smith. Stephie was a
member of St. John The Evangelist Church, Binghamton. A graduate of Woodrow
Wilson and Binghamton High Schools. She was previously employed at IBM Corp.,
Montgomery Ward and Broome County Office for Aging, where she was East Side
Site Supervisor. She had a love of gardening, playing scrabble, bird watching,
crocheting and family and friends gathering along with Walt, were many lifelong
friends and co-workers. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ramanujan for his
compassionate care. Funeral services will be held at theJ. A. McCormack Sons
Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at
St. John The Evangelist Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial
will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the
McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers,
expressions of sympathy in memory of Stephie may be made to Broome County
Office For Aging, 44 Hawley St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
