Obituary of Reta R. Bird

Reta R. Bird, of Binghamton, died Saturday evening, September 15, 2001, at the Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Gertrude Allen Pickert; her sisters and brother, Norma Russell, Jessie Beers, and Robert Pickert. She is survived by a sister, Shirley Pickert, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Reta lived in Binghamton since 1943 and was a retired 30 year employee of IBM Corporation and a member of the Quarter Century Club. Funeral services will be held at theJ. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday, at 1 p.m. Rev. Dacid C. Seaver, Chaplain of Pastoral Care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, will officiate. Burial will be in McGraw Rural Cemetery, McGraw, N.Y. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
