Obituary of Charlotte C. Gordon

Charlotte C. Gordon, 81, of Binghamton, died Tuesday morning, January 14, 2003, at Ideal Senior Living Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous struggle with heart disease. She was predeceased by her daughters, Marcibeth and Mary Beth; and her granddaughters, Amanda O'Hara and Sarah Gordon. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, R. James Gordon; and her children, James and Roberta Gordon, Poughkeepsie, Carol and Jon English, Binghamton, Joan and James O'Hara, Vestal, John Gordon, Binghamton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Charlotte was a member of St. John The Evangelist Church, Binghamton for many years and was a former president of the Binghamton Lioness Club. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. John The Evangelist Church, Vestal Ave. at Livingston St., Binghamton Friday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Binghamton Lions Club Charities, PO Box 776, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902, or the Blind Work Association, 55 Washington St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
