Pierino A. "Perry"
"Pops" Lisi, 79, of Binghamton, died Sunday evening, June 30, 2002 at
the Willow Point Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years,
Claire Gorman Lisi; a granddaughter, Katherine Claire Lancour; a sister-in-law,
Nancy Doyle; and brother-in-law, Phillip Gorman. He is survived by his
daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Lance Lee, Vestal, Anne Marie and Robert
Lancour, Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Matthew Lee and Brenna Lancour;
brothers-in-law, Walter and Joanne Gorman, Binghamton, James Doyle, Princeton,
N.J.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Patrick's
Church, Binghamton. He was a master electrician and former owner of P.A.L.
Electric and retired Electrical Estimator from St. John Associates. He was a
member of IBEW Local 325 and American Federation of Musicians Local 380. Pops
was an accomplished musician and played with big bands in the area. He was a US
Army veteran of WWII, served in the 41st Infantry in Italy, received the Purple
Heart and Oak Leaf Clusters. He served as an interpreter and musician in Italy
for the Army. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral
Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. and at 1 p.m. at St.
Patrick's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the
McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in
memory of Perry may be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation, 169 Riverside Dr.,
Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, or American Heart Association, 59 Court St.,
Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
