Obituary of Andrew R. Salvemini

Andrew R. Salvemini, 71, died Sunday, August 11, 2002. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Jennie Salvemini. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara Harrison Salvemini, Conklin; his devoted family, daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jonathan Schaffer, Maine; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Salvemini, Binghamton, Andrew and Cheryl Salvemini, Whitney Point; seven grandchildren, Kurt, Neil and Mark Schaffer, Nichole Salvamini, Erin, Ashley and Emily Salvemini; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Raymond Deuel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marjorie MacMurray MD., Thomas and Bernice Harrison, Conklin, Charles and Nancy Harrison, Vestal; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and very close friends. He was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Binghamton, a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired after 37 years of service from the N.Y. Army National Guard. Andy was an avid tennis player and enjoyed traveling. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Thursday at 9:15 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Andy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams St., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
