The Pipers have called home one of the
truly free souls in the world. John D. Fitzgibbons, 64, of Binghamton, better
known as as "Fitzie", he left us in the wee hours of the morning on
October 5, 2002, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. We know he's in a

leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Norma Fitzgibbons; his children,
David, James, Thomas, Marie Camarada, Judy, Bridget Knowles; and step-children,
Kristen Fallon and Candice Porter; also 12 grandchildren who will be missed by
the loss of their grandpa "Fitzie"; also surviving is a brother,
Thomas Fitzgibbons, Hansen, Mass. He was a graduate of St. Paul's high school,
class of 1955, and a veteran of the US army. He was the proprietor of Fitzie's
Irish Pub and retired from Anitec Image Corporation. Recently Fitzie was
assisting his very good friend, Ed Hickey at the Belmar Restaurant and Paddy's
Irish Pub. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Robinson and
Chenango Streets, Binghamton, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will recieve friends at the J.A. McCormack
