James F.
Haley, Sr., 75, of Binghamton, died Saturday evening, October 20, 2001 at Our
Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He
was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 50 years,
Eileen Kinney Haley, Binghamton; his children, Kathleen Haley and Steven Wax,
Portland, Oreg., Bridget and Gary Conroy, Endicott, James F. Jr. and Denise
Haley, Binghamton, Sheila and Steven Kenny, Pt. Washington, John and Marybeth
Haley, Endicott, Patrick Haley, Binghamton; 12 grandchildren, Kathryn, Maura,
Patrick, Jimmy, Laura, Emma, Michael, McCayla, John, Meghan, Martin and
William; two sisters, Patricia Pender and Kay Matthews, both of Binghamton;
sister-in-law, Sheila and Bob Moore; brother-in-law, George Kinney. Jim was a
member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton; member and past president of
the Holy Name Society; member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; Army Veteran
of World War II; graduate of Binghamton Central High School and attended
LeMoyne College. He was the co-owner of Binghamton Veos Tile for many years. He
was an avid bowler and golfer. Funeral services will be held at the J.A.
McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday at 9 a.m.
and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be
offered. Burial will be in St. Augustines Cemetery, Silver Lake, Pa. The family
will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jim may be made to St. Thomas
Aquinas Church, 1 Aquinas St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905 or the Multiple Sclerosis
Society, 32 W. State St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
