Michel
Eugene Fuller, 62, of Binghamton, beloved husband, father and grandfather,
passed away Monday evening, February 5, 2001, at his home following a long
illness. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Josephine Fuller, Binghamton;
a son and daughter-in-law, George and Paula Fuller, Vallejo, Calif.; two daughters
and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Timothy Haynes, Reading, Pa., Cynthia and Walter
Walsh, Jr., Binghamton; seven grandchildren. Mr. Fuller was born August 29,
1938, the third of four children, to George and Simone Fuller in Norwich, N.Y.
He attended Norwich Schools and graduated from Norwich High School where he
excelled in academics, football and wrestling. Following high school, he
completed two successful tours in the United States Navy (1957-1965), traveling
extensively throughout the world. On January 31, 1959, Mr. Fuller was married
to Josephine Dodds in Norfolk, Va. Mr. Fuller attended SUNY Morrisville where
he studied food service administration. Following completion of his studies he
moved to Binghamton where he resided for the past 34 years. He worked in food
service administration at SUNY Binghamton, Susquehanna Nursing Home and Willow
Point Nursing Home. Mr. Fuller was an ardent camper who traveled widely
throughout the United States and Canada. He was also an avid fisherman and
stamp collector and a member of American Legion Post 80. Funeral services will
be held at the J. A. McCormack Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Friday
at 9 a.m. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, Johnson City, where a Funeral
Mass will be offered. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral
Home, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of
Michel may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 1023 Swann Rd., Lewiston, N.Y.
