Obituary of Theresa A. Grillo

Theresa
(Orband/Lomonaco) Grillo, Binghamton, went to be with the Lord, following a
long illness, on Thursday, January 11, 2001. She was predeceased by her
husbands, Andrew Grillo and Paul Lomonaco; her brother, Henry, Tony, Tom, Bill
and Dan Orband. Theresa is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Joe
and Betsy Lomonaco, Binghamton, Fran and Linda Grillo, Eagan, Minn., and Andy
(Tom) and Sissy Grillo, Belton, Tex.; grandsons, Joe Lomonaco, Jr. and his
fiancee, Linda Allen, Jim Lomonaco and Todd King; granddaughters, Jennifer
Grillo, Carrie Grillo, Andrea Grillo and Christie Grillo; her sister, Mary
Scarano, San Lorenzo, Calif., her sister and brother-in-law, Rae and Bob
Cerretani, Binghamton; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Dom and Virginia
Orband, Norfolk, Va. and Bob and Mildred Orband, Carson City, Nev.;
brother-in-law, John Lomonaco and his special friend, Ann Lipka, Johnson City;
and sisters-in-law, Julianne Orband, Binghamton, Helen Orband, Johnson City and
Rose Kurbaba, Johnson City, whose attentive care giving made Theresa's last
days bright and cheery. Theresa was blessed with many loving nieces and
nephews, cousins, special cousins, Anselma and Sabatino DiMascio and special
family friends, Tom and Anita Evans, Peg Williams, Hal and Sophie Moore and all
her wonderful neighbors who looked in on her from time to time. Outside of her
family, friends and neighbors, she enjoyed sharing lunch, coffee and laughter
with her long time friends, Angie DeAngelo, Fran Lanuti and Jennie Retacco.
Theresa loved all of you dearly. Theresa was a member of St. Andrew's Church,
Binghamton and a Charter Member of the Women's Abruzzese Club, where she held
several offices including club president. She was a Past President of the
Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Theresa was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister-in-law and friend. Her warm presence and friendly ways will
be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons
Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 9:15 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at
St. Andrew's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in
Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the McCormack
Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Women's Abruzzese Club
will meet Sunday at 6:45 p.m., at the funeral home.
