Obituary of William J. Kelleher, Sr.

William J. Kelleher, Sr., 75, of Binghamton,
died peacefully Friday morning, February 15, 2002 at his home. He was born on
March 4, 1926 in Forest City, Pa. and was predeceased by his parents, Joseph
and Margaret Kelleher; his brothers and sisters, James, Robert, Richard and
John Kelleher, Alice Crimmins and Margaret Jarrett. He is survived by his wife
of 50 years, Beverly Coffey Kelleher, Binghamton; his children, Rosemary and
Darrell Newton, Windsor, William and Susan Kelleher, Sharon and David Picciano,
Mary Ellen Kelleher, Dawnmarie Kelleher, all of Binghamton; his brother and
sister-in-law, Joseph and Teresa Kelleher, Hillcrest; sisters-in-law, June
Kelleher, Verla Kelleher, Marilyn Coffey, all of Binghamton, Bernice Coffey,
Johnson City; brothers-in-law, Jay Crimmins and Fred Jarrett; his grandchildren,
Brendon and Conan Picciano, Liam and Cade Kelleher; several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton, a retired
employee of the IBM Corporation and a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club, a
US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 1645. Bill
served as president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians for 3 terms and was
extremely proud of his faith and Irish Heritage. Funeral services will be held
at theJ.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 10
a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, where a Funeral
Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The
family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 3 to 7
p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bill may be made to Project Children,
