Obituary of W. James Roach

W. James Roach, 81, of Kirkwood passed away Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Esther Roach; three sisters, Marjorie Riley, Rhea O'Day, Helen Emmons; his in-laws, Francis and Helen Blaha; and three brothers in law, Frank Blaha, Raymond O'Day and Roger Emmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Constance Roach, Kirkwood; nieces and nephews, Laurie, Linda, Tom, Jennifer, Peter, Kara and Spencer; sister in law, Irene LaCroix and her daughter, Karen and sons, Mark and John. He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Binghamton after 43 years of service where he was a Route Salesman for 23 years in downtown Binghamton and the Eastside and 20 years in management as Area and Plant Manager for Coca-Cola. He had a great love for his German Shepherd dogs, Heller, Dodi, Apollo, Sam, Kirk, Chrissy, KC, Jodi and Cody. Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kirkwood for over 50 years. In keeping with his wishes, there are no calling hours and private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City in the spring.
