Obituary of Ellen I. Ryan

Ellen Irene Ryan was born in Endicott, New York on August 26, 1920. She moved to Houston in 1994 to be with her daughters. Ellen passed away on October 21, 2014 after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob and son, Jimmy. She is survived by her three daughters; Patty Cooley (Pete), Cindy Stirpe (Ron) and Peggy Eiche (Phil). Ellen was a devoted wife, a loving Mother, a cherished Grandmother of eleven, Great-Grandmother of nineteen and Great-Great-Grandmother of three. She was always lovingly referred to as Nanny. We will always be thankful for the special care provided by Theresa and all the caregivers at the Autumn Grove Cottage - Champions. The family would also like to thank Vitas Hospice for the care they gave Nanny - and what a wonderful Nanny she was! The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
