Obituary of Marianne C. Kaim

Marianne C. "Poochie" Kaim, 78 of Vestal died Sunday, August 3, 2014 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Kaim; her mother, Helen Eickhoff; and her grandson, Timothy J. Kaim. She is survived by her children, Robert and Lori Kaim, SC, Mariellen and Peter Rau, Endicott, Michael F. Kaim, Endicott, Steven and Rebecca Kaim, Vestal, Katherine "KC" and Mark Whitaker, SC; her grandchildren, Brandon, Steve, Katie, Amber, Wyatt, Daisy; one great-grandchild, Isiah; her brother, John Eickhoff and Donna Page, Binghamton; and many very dear relatives from Maryland. She was a retired employee of Binghamton University and was a member of the German American Club of Binghamton. She enjoyed the beach and her pool, her family and friends. Poochie took special care of her grandson, Tim, and devoted care to Daisy, Amber and Wyatt. The family wishes to thank the staff of Willow Point Nursing Home and Lourdes Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Friday at 10 a.m. Reverend Edward J. Zandy will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
