Obituary of Doris R. Steed

Doris R. Steed, 96 of Binghamton died Friday March 28, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Donald J. Steed; her parents, Herbert and Diana Robare; her brothers, Vernon Robare and Albert "Bobby" Robare; and a sister, Ada Welch. She is survived by her children, John and JoAnn Steed, Susan and Angelo Fabrizi, James and Julianne Steed; her grandchildren, John, Christopher, Brendan, Thomas, Michael, Lisa; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Purdy; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton; a member of the Binghamton Country Club for over 50 years and a member of the Monday Afternoon Club. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton Monday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Doris may be made to any charitable organization.
