Obituary of Barbara M. Kuklis
Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara Kuklis (Murray), 90, of Vestal, NY, entered the resurrected life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A wonderful mother, generous grandmother, and joyous great-grandmother, Mom treasured her large and ever-growing family. A dedicated and respected medical professional for more than fifty years, not only a registered nurse, but a proud RN who maintained her licensure until her peaceful end. Mom positively impacted the lives of thousands in her half century of vocational service. A devout, lifelong Catholic, Mom's tireless commitment to the Christian community and altruistic work at the Community Free Clinic, local soup kitchen and the Nearly New Shop made her a true inspiration to her parish family and friends. Mom was a world traveler, lover of all things Irish, a Notre Dame sports fan and an indisputable NY Yankee loyalist. Her lifelong devotion to Christ has paved her entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mom was predeceased by her beloved family members: parents Joseph C. Murray and Beatrice M. Murray (Harrington); siblings Marlyn Farrell Wilson (Murray) and Dr. Donald Murray; husband, Ernest J. Kuklis; and daughter, Carole Ann Kuklis.
Mom is survived by her siblings, Carol Pellicciotti (Albert) and Joseph Murray (Eileen); her six children: Kevin Kuklis (Nancy), Lori Cerasaro (Rev. Joseph Hein), Susan George (Richard), John Kuklis (Rosa), James Kuklis and Thomas Kuklis; in addition twelve grandchildren: Christopher Kuklis, Sarah Kuklis, Patrick Cerasaro, Joseph Kuklis, Alex Kuklis, Kelli George Souza, Nicole George, Shannon George, Annalisa Kuklis, Gabrielle Federowicz; two great-grandchildren, Madden Souza and Ember Federowicz; and dozens of treasured cousins, nieces, nephews and very dear friends, most notably, Jo Gallagher and Mary Smith 'Smitty' Giblin.
