Obituary of Justine Rosenberg
Please share a memory of Justine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Mother and Oma, Justine "Tina" Rosenberg , 80, of Binghamton NY, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 27th, 2024 at Binghamton General Hospital.
Born in Shenandoah Pennsylvania on May 9th, 1944, Tina was the daughter of the late George and Justine (Kushwarra) Swartz. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and George Swartz and her sister Joan Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Siegfried Rosenberg, her daughter Ingrid and her son-in-law Matthew Segrue, and her beloved grandchildren Erika Allen, Jack and Paddy Segrue, and numerous nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Frackville High School in 1962, she graduated from Binghamton General School of Nursing in 1967. Justine worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center.
Every body who knew Tina, was captivated by her wonderful personality, sense of humor, and beautiful smile. She had the most beautiful soul. She was friendly to everyone she met, but most of all, she loved her family. Siggy, Ingrid, Matthew, and her grandchildren were everything in the world to her. She would go out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care of, even before herself. Tina loved movies and especially music. The house always had music playing. She loved the ocean and spending time at camp on Lake Ontario. She was equally as compassionate towards animals and every dog she had was treated as a member of the family.
She fought so hard the last few years, sometimes more for us than herself. The family wishes to thank all the health care professionals who provided care for her these last few years, Bignhamton General Hospital Krembs 6 nurses, Dr. Kumar, Dr Liu, Broome Oncology, Dr. Sethi and many more.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. At Tina's request there will be no services. She would have saved every dog if she could, so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local dog shelter in her memory.
