Obituary of Debra L. Hartley

Debra Hartley, 69, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 22, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents EA and Geraldine Jones. She's also predeceased by her sister Rosie Martin. Debbie is survived by her spouse of 43 years Larry, her sons Jesse(Katie) and Scott(Nicole) and her grandchildren Eva, Maverick, Charlie, and Sawyer. She's also survived by her brother Douglas (Trixie), and sister Laurie (Danny) and brother-in-law Chic, along with many nieces, nephews, friends and beer drinking buddies. Debra enjoyed competing in triathlons and running every chance she could. She enjoyed being the center of attention at every party or family gathering and weekends at the Lake. She was always singing anything she could even if those songs were Rugby College songs. She enjoyed horror flicks and watching Svengoolie on ME TV. The last 8–10 years, she did battle peripheral artery disease along with scleroderma. She endured many surgeries along with amputations of both her legs however through all of this Debbie always remained positive and never complained. Debbie never cared for flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in her memory. A private Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday April 26, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m.
