Virginia Greenmun Robertson of Binghamton, formerly of Wolcott, NY passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home. She was predeceased by her husband George W. Robertson; her son Harry Robertson and grandson Troy Robertson. She is survived by her children, Joan and Kevin DeYoung, Byron Ctr., MI, Mary E. Robertson and Matthew Zanowiak, Rochester; daughter in law, Nancy Robertson, Destin, FL; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Dillon, Diana, Casey DeYoung, Tammy Baltzell, Todd Robertson, Gregory Zanowiak; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Greenmun, Binghamton. A brother, Charles and Ruth Greenmun, CA; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hamill, Trumansburg. She was a member of the Conklin Avenue-First Baptist Church, Binghamton. Virginia was a retired high school Latin teacher, retiring from the Trumansburg School District and taught Latin at Binghamton North High School. She was a member of the N.Y.S Retired Teachers Assoc. and had a Masters Degree from Columbia University. Her late husband and his father were the proprietors of Robertson Funeral Home in Wolcott, NY. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Red Creek Cemetery, Red Creek, NY in the spring. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Virginia may be made to Good Shepherd-Fairview Living Care Fund, 80 Fairview Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13904 or the Wolcott Area Volunteer Ambulance.
