Marilyn was a very kind neighbor of my mother, Peg Martin, who lived up the street. My mother was blind and deaf (could hear with a hearing aid). When she would make a mistake knitting Marilyn was always happy to help. She would also occasionally drop in to chat and keep my mother company. The last time I saw her she was kneeling in the garden with her husband. He apparently was having some problems but they still managed to do a lot of things together. They looked very sweet together. She asked for my mother’s antique mirror when she died in 1998.
