Obituary of Michael J. Murphy, Jr.

Michael J. Murphy, Jr. 65, of Chenango Forks, died Wednesday September 5, 2023 at his home. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Barbara (Quick) Murphy. He is survived by the mother of his children, Tina Murphy, his children Jason Murphy, Joshua Murphy and Amy Murphy; his grandchildren, Jayden and Paityn; his siblings, Suzanne and Joe Skapik, Robert Murphy and Kelly and Jeff Hopkins and by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and by a special friend, Floyd Lord. He enjoyed racing, motor cycling and cars. He was employed by Taylor Garbage service for 35 years. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 1194, 363 West Service Road, Binghamton, Sunday, September 10, 2023 beginning at 2 p.m.
