To Jody's Family.
I am so sorry about her passing. She was a lovely lady and, yes, she sure could cook. When I came into town I enjoyed several delicious lunches with my Mom (Eva) at her diner. Jody was also incredibly kind. I so appreciated how nicely she and her waitresses treated my Mom. I have no doubt that Jody will be missed. A lot. Sincerely, Kathy Bush

Matt and I both were so very saddened to hear of Jody's passing. May you all find comfort in your wonderful memories of Jody. She was such a bright, cheerful caring person. 25 years ago she was immediately a NECA grandma to our daughter Megan when we traveled to Las Vegas with a 6-month old Megan. I'm so glad that we were able to see Jody, hug her and tell her how much we love her at the last NECA party at Turning Stone. Heaven has indeed gained a beautiful angel. I'm sure she's being a grandma already to our little angel Emily.

Jody was a mentor to me. Weather it was teaching me how to cook, or doing arts and crafts, or simply being a beautiful human being, who treated everyone with nonjudgmental kindness. I strive to be half the woman she was. And although I haven’t seen her for a few years, I have never stopped thinking about her or having her in my prayers. My heart goes out to you Bill, Joe and Stacey and the rest of your family. May God heal your hearts and guide you. She will be missed beyond words, but God wanted her with him in heaven. May you all find some kind of comfort during this heart wrenching time in your lives. God Bless

I have so many wonderful and fun memories I can’t just share one! If you knew my mom you get it! She was fun, outgoing and a talker!!!
We always had everything and more and no one ever without. That was the same for not us kids and family, but for her friends and diner family.
She always won at go cart racing and was more daring then she ever thought and she gave me and us the world. She has instilled love and compassion for all in me that I carry and use daily.
There are NO words I can use to describe how much we loved her and how FIERCELY she loved.
I thank her for being my mom as I wouldn’t be me or where I am today without her.

Jody was a great person and ran an awesome business.
She has left Jody's in the hands of great people who have been there for a long time, Katie and Debbie.
Many trips from Hallstead to Jody's just to enjoy Jody the food and the girls that workd there.
May God rest your sole.

I will never forget the incredible woman who started my serving career. She gave me a chance at the age of 18 with no experience that no other place locally would. I will never forget me busting my butt to impress her while she watched behind the scenes watching my every move as I moved across the diner. The diner that eventually became my home over those next 6 years. I will never forget our talks, Jody's loving advice, our dance parties, our soup stirring talks, but last but not least the love she shared for everyone who was lucky enough to be under her wing. I learned from the absolute BEST of the best. It was such a pleasure and HONOR to be able to work for Jody. Working for Jody was never work. She had so much trust and respect for her employees. When you treat your employees with respect, you gain it and then some. Jody never looked at any of us as employees. We were ALL family to her. To know her, was to love her. Heaven truly gained an angel and I will forever be thankful Jody gave me my 1st chance because without her, I wouldn't be who I am today. She pushed me, loved me, and encouraged me everyday to be the best version of myself I could possibly be. Forever in my heart. I love you Jody.
