We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of David M. Weingartner (64) of Johnson City, NY on April 15th, 2023. He resided locally in New York for most of his life, though he thoroughly enjoyed the short time he spent in San Diego, CA. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mae Weingartner, sister, Debbie Hartmann, and father-in-law, Richard Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Paula Weingartner, daughters, Kaitlin (Casey) DiFulvio and Amy (Michael) Federico, sisters, Diane (Don) Evans, Denise Faber, and Donna (Ed) Derck, mother-in-law, Ingeborg Smith, and sister-in-law, Erica Kornfeind, as well as many nieces and nephews. He'll be missed most by the absolute joys of his life, his grandchildren, Declan, Harper, and Bennett.
Dave was a man of many interests and talents; a man that lived to do favors for others.
The best moments of his life were times spent with his entire family.
The family requests that flowers please be omitted and that memorial contributions be made to the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier, mhast.org.
