Obituary of Timothy T. Burdick

Timothy T. Burdick, 54 of Maine, NY passed away on January 25, 2023 after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. He was predeceased by his parents-in-law Robert and Carol Warner and brother-in-law Roman Korsunsky. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marnie Burdick, and his three children Jedd Burdick (Traci and Grandson due in March), Emily Burdick (fiancé Matt Byers) and Kurt Burdick (Annie). He is also survived by his parents Richard and Joan Burdick, siblings Mark (Sharon) Burdick, Kim (Paul) Reinert, Scott Burdick, sisters-in-law Robin (Jamie) Kimmel, Leslie Korsunsky and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandnieces, along with many special friends. Tim graduated from Susquehanna Valley High School and SUNY Delhi. After serving his apprenticeship, he became a Journeyman electrician with the IBEW Local 325 for 20 years and worked in electrical maintenance at Ithaca College for the last 15 years. He was always there to lend a hand on projects for family and friends, doing electrical work, roofing, tree work, home improvement jobs, furniture building or refinishing or whatever was needed. He loved classic cars, motorcycles and all things Mopar. Above all else, he deeply loved his family, extended family and friends, preferring to spend time with them on "Molson" Fridays in the backyard and vacationing with them in the Finger Lakes and at the "Farm". We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Broome Oncology, UHS Radiation Oncology and Wilson Hospital for the wonderful care they provided. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday, January 29th at 3 pm. Reverend Mary Jean Simonin, Pastor of Hawleyton United Methodist Church will officiate. Per Tim's wishes, burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to the American Cancer Society.
