Obituary of Tadeusz A. Majka

We've known each other since we were 17 years old, we grew up together and we were supposed to grow old together but God knew you were tired and your body needed rest. He called you home, to be with your mom and dad, Marieangela and Theodore Majka on Friday December 23, 2022. As sad as Gabriella, Sophia, and I are, we cannot help but smile at the thought of the ginormous hugs and kisses you must have gotten the moment your mom and dad laid eyes on you, and the tears of joy you must have cried in return. We think of you having meals with your parents, fly fishing, or out in your kayak, smoking a cigar and having a glass of scotch. Playing with Tippet and Gabe, watching whatever channel you want for as long as you want and listening to your music as loud as you want . Yogi and Maddie miss you just as much , but they are great protectors . Tod is survived by his wife of 29 years Catie, his two daughters, Gabriella and Sophia, whom he was beyond proud of and his eyes lit up with pride every story he told . He is survived by his sisters Andrea (Pedro) Barreto and Monique (Michael) Riotto, stepbrothers and many loving members of the Cichostepski, Petrilli, Brown, and Crouch families. There have been many wonderful coworkers over the years, whether that be from Mechanical Specialities, Instron or Sears hardware and friends, especially Devon and Nick who were like brothers to Tod . Tod beat the odds more than once because of the many wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff thru UHS Cardiology, diabetes management, nephrology, wound care and Dr. Sperber. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to our neighbors Neisen and Paul, the Union Endicott volunteer emergency squad, the troopers and all of the volunteers that showed up on Friday to help. We are forever grateful, The Majka Family. Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday at 1p.m. Rev. Kenneth Kirkman will officiate. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made in Tod's name to the Broome County Humane Society, 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903 https://bchumanesoc.com/ or the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
