My sincere sympathy to you all on the loss of your sweet mother. Mr. And Mrs. Furch were so kind to all the neighborhood kids. Mr. Furch sang a song, "Oh we're the girls from Brook Avenue we're not so very neat..." I remember Mrs. Furch coming to my mother's aid when I had a fever. I have fond memories of the Mathers family too. Another mom so good to all the neighborhood kids.

I grew up at 3 Brook Avenue in Binghamton and knew Mr and Mrs Furch and spent a lot of time at her house while playing with her children Dale, Francie and Carol. I remember her so well and was so kind to me. I enjoyed going to their house to see her, the grandmother that lived with them in the addition as well as Mr Furch. I loved going to the bike shop and spending time with the kids and Carol spent time with us when we moved to Louisiana. So sorry to hear of her passing and I offer my condolences to the entire family. Peter D Mathers
