Obituary of Sean P. McAvoy
Please share a memory of Sean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sean Patrick McAvoy, after just 58 years, left us too soon. Sean was born in Johnson City, NY to Thomas and Sandra McAvoy. During his short battle with glioblastoma he was surrounded by his loving parents, his sisters Christine, Kerry and Sandy, his brother Daniel, his aunts Darlene, Bonnie, and Jacqueline, and many loving family members at BDC, Barnes and Diane. He also leaves behind his nieces Kayla and Tayden, his nephews Devin, Collin, Dane and Dylan, numerous cousins, and due to having special needs from birth, Sean's life touched and left behind too many people to be named who welcomed, protected, and provided him with the most loving of homes.
Looking back we remember someone who loved life, coffee, and would go to great lengths to search out and obtain his special smokey treats. His mischievous nature brought laughter and hours of stories to all who knew him. He had an amazing smile with a sparkle in his eyes, but under it all he had an inner strength that helped him fight through many adversities. He gave all who knew him the gift of being grateful for what God has given us and the desire to help the most vulnerable.
