Obituary of William S. Silvestri

William (Billy) Silvestri was born June 18th,1955 to Sebastain (Sam) and Serita (Roosa) Silvestri in Endicott, NY. He graduated from Seton Catholic High School. He was a member of the Laborers Local 7 until he retired in 2013. After his retirement Bill stayed active in the community by working for Chenango Valley State Park restoring stonework. He also worked at UHS Ideal Senior center and most recently at Roberson Museum and Science Center. Bill enjoyed playing golf, billiards at Triangle Pool Hall, riding his motorcycle and playing the ponies. He was a hardworking man who was kind to everyone he met. He was generous, witty and loving. He had the gift of making people smile. His life was taken away prematurely due to the aggressive nature of his illness. His life and memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife and best friend Kathy, his children: Steve and wife Dara, Jade, Amy and husband Shane, Brenda and husband Robert, his bestest sister Cerise and her husband Bob, and their families. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Papa Bill will be especially missed by his grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Avenue, Endicott, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Billy's memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
