Margaret L. Ellis, 92, of Binghamton, died Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was predeceased by her parents, Nasif and Azzie Ellis; her brothers and sisters, Nelson P. and Kathryn Ellis, Phillip Ellis, Edward Ellis, Josephine Watkins, Mary Ellis, Victoria Thomas, Virginia Ellis. She is survived by her sisters, Ardell Bretzen, FL, Sally Feldsott, Binghamton; her nieces and nephews, Duke and Vickie Struck, Judy Phelps, Marian and Bob Mahran, Craig Thomas, Peggy Jean and Harry Stopp, Phillip and Donna Thomas, Mary and Bob Simon, Patricia Ellis, John and Maureen Ellis, who cared for Margaret for many years; many great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton. Peggy graduated from Binghamton North High School and the College of St. Rose in Albany. She taught at East Junior and North High School. After retirement, she worked and later managed Phil's Gift Shop. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor, especially Agnes Lado. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Binghamton, Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnson City in the spring. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Peggy may be made to St. Paul's Church, 15 Doubleday St., Binghamton, NY 13901.
