Fr. Hobbes and I met when we were in Windsor. He was a frequent late night visitor to our house when I was a teacher at Windsor Central School. He was a very special friend and we spent long hours together, including several trips to NYC to the Opera. What a very holy and righteous man he was, always looking out for the less fortunate. My wife, Alette, and I always enjoyed our trips to Cortese Restaurant in Binghamton, Uncle Tony's in Binghamton, and Irish Kevin"s in Johnson City. He also loved "The Beef", but his brother priests always ate wayyyyy too fast for his regimen. He was a special person and I will miss him a very lot. Love you Fr. Hobbes, and enjoy your time in heaven with God, his angels, and all your family, especially your wonderful mother, Mary. Rest in peace.

Father Hobbes was a loyal priest, a true mentor, and spiritual guide for many souls here on earth. He was supportive during our high school days, our professional careers, and during family gatherings -- whether it be in good times or in bad times. The Coon family considers him a Saint. Now that he is with the Lord, he will continue to guide us through our earthly journey until we join him in his full spiritual life. God Bless Fr. Hobbes for a life well lived.
