Edward Earl Harmon, "Mr. H," 79 of Vestal, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 3rd, at home surrounded by his family. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Edward E. Harmon Sr. and Ann Harmon; and sister, Louise Armbrust. Mr. H is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Shirley (Relyea) Harmon; his siblings, Jack (Joan) Harmon, AZ, Tom Harmon, Binghamton, Annie (Ed) Bailey, Albany, Joyce Talbut, Binghamton, and Bob Armbrust, FL. Earl will be deeply missed by his family, Edward Harmon and Alice Spencer, Endicott, Gerald (Jan) Hamon, Friendsville, PA, Richard (Cheryl) Harmon, Lisle, Kathleen (Frank) Ryan, Binghamton; grandchildren, Lacey and Alexander Hamon, Maggie (Greg) McNamara, Hannah, Angela Harmon, Anthony and Amber Harmon, Frank & Richard Ryan; and great-grandchildren, Theresa and Logan McNamara. He will also be missed by his stepchildren, Lacy (Phil) Mehlenbacher, Corning, Suzanne (Lyndon) Ralston, Endicott, Tim (Jackie) Loveless, Endicott, and Tom & Michael Loveless of Endicott. Earl served in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. H was employed as an Iron Worker for 43 years with the Local 158 out of Binghamton and Syracuse. Earl was also an usher at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal. In his free time, Mr. H enjoyed deer hunting with his sons, fishing, watching football, going to the casino, and most of all spending time with his family. The family would like to express great appreciation to the Lourdes Hospital Staff and hospice workers that took such great care of Mr. H. A Funeral Mass will offered at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark St., Vestal on Thursday at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Edward may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 157 Clark St., Vestal, NY and the American Cancer Society , 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790
