Richie, you were my favorite. You often reminded me how it was me who encouraged you to read my Dad's ( John Frias USMC retired) obituary saying, " You can do it, your a Marine!" So true & so proud of his performance that day 8\7\88. Loved him & will really miss his love for our family & his friends. RIP XO Laurie & Dave

I think the 2 youngest Rebello boys might remember one summer day we were on the annual alterboy trip, but this year we did not go to our usual destination, Dorney Park, but instead we were at Knobles, a much less desirable destination. As we were minding our own business, no taunting whatsover by Steve, we found ourselves being followed by a large group of thugs several years older than us. So nervously we headed back to where we knew the adult chaperones were, trying to play it cool and not run, as we were getting taunted and kicked in the rear. Now I will admit that when I was a youngster my uncle Rich was some what intimidating to me, I was convinced that if I left his basement door open one more time I would never make it out of there alive, but I digress... on this particular day there was no other adult I would rather have had to get our back! When we made it back to safety and the thugs had stopped perusing us Steve and Dave reported the incident to Uncle Rich. It was at this moment I learned a new appreciation and respect for my uncle Rich. There was no "love your enemies" or "turn the other cheek" or "just stay away from those boys"... no there was only immediate and decisive action "show me where they are" was the command. At that point I my concern began to shift from my safety to the safety of those thugs! I'm sure the leader of that gang never has forgotten that! The feeling of the largest set of hands I've ever seen grabbing his shoulders from behind, I do not remember what Uncle Rich said to him, but I'm sure he still remembers to this day! Since that day I was much more appreciative of the Rebello fierceness because I new it was on my side! Thank Uncle Rich! I will never forget you!
