Obituary of Margaret K. Sabatino

Margaret Rita Kane Sabatino, 92 of Binghamton, formerly of Trenton, NJ died Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Ideal Senior Living Center. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Sabatino and her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Michael F. Sabatino, Gloversville; sisters and brothers, Jean Monroney, Gerald and Sally Kane, Richard and Jonamae Kane, Judith and Jack Simma, several nieces and nephews including Pegi Turner, who was her caregiver for many years. Rita was very fond of being an aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt. She retired from the General Motors and was a partner with her late husband in Michael's Cleaners in New Jersey. She was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a Member of American Legion Post 1645. Rita loved to crochet and make porcelin dolls. She loved bingo and anything Irish, especially dancing the Irish Jig. Mostly she loved being with her family. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Oak and Leroy Streets, Binghamton Friday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Park, Robinsville, NJ at a later time. The family will receive friends at the J.A.McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Rita may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , PO Box 50, Memphis,Tn. 38101-9929.
