Obituary of George Reinhard

George "Popper" Reinhard, Sr., 74 of Binghamton died peacefully Saturday, September 21, 2013 surrounded by loving family and friends. He is now reunited with his parents Marguerite and George Reinhard; a brother , James Reinhard and his mother and father-in-law, Doris and William Snyder. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Jeannie Reinhard; his children, George Reinhard and finance', Jennifer Martin and Robin Reinhard. Three grandchildren, Zachary Tompkins, Hilary and Adam Reinhard; his brothers and sisters, Dennis (Josie) Reinhard, Mark (Pam) Reinhard, Marjean (Mark) Dougherty, Penny (Ken) LaBarre; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Warren (Rick Whitten) and a brother-in-law, William Snyder and his favorite grand-puppy, Bagelz. George was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Binghamton and a lifelong resident of the East Side of Binghamton, a graduate of North High School, a barber for 45 years at the Binghamton YMCA. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his kind spirit, passion for travel, beaches, cruises and zest for life will live on through them. George and Jeannie have been sweethearts since the age of ten. They had a caring marriage of almost 54 years based on mutual support and deep love for each other. He was also known for his contagious smile, great hugs and hershey's chocolate kisses. George proudly served his country for 6 years in the US Navy. He will be missed, but not forgotten. Memorial Services will be held at the Fairview United Methodist Church, 252 Robinson St., Binghamton, NY on Sunday the 29th of September with the Rev. Janet B. Clark officiating. Calling hours at the church from 1-2PM, Funeral at 2PM - Reception to follow.
